Directions to our location:
By Train: Take 7 train to 111th Street station. Walk along 111th Street towards 47th Avenue.
By Bus: Take the Q23 or the Q58 to Corona Avenue and 108th Street. Take the Q48 to 111th Street and Roosevelt Avenue.
We are open on weekdays from 9:30 am – 5 pm, and weekends from 10 am – 6 pm. We are closed on Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
Avoid the Crowds. Arrive early during weekdays (before 11 am) or late (after 2 pm, Monday through Thursday).

Every Friday (2 – 5 pm) and every Sunday (10 – 11 am) general admission is free for all customers. General admission does not include the Science Playground, Rocket Park Mini Golf, 3D theater shows, and programs and workshops that require additional fees.
No, admission to the museum must be purchased before visiting either of these areas.
Yes, we offer free general admission for up to five people for military personnel with active IDs. Please be sure to bring your military ID with you when you visit.
Yes, there is a parking lot available for customers. It costs $12 to park. Parking is not available during the U.S. Open.
Our dining partner, Butter Beans Kitchen, offers a selection of salads, sandwiches, Hale and Hearty soups, chicken wings, chicken tenders, beef patties, yogurt, bagels, muffins, chips, ice cream and beverages. Butter Beans Kitchen is open Monday – Thursday, 9:30 am – 3:30 pm, Friday, 9:30 am – 4 pm, and weekends, 10 am – 5 pm. Outside food and beverages are not permitted in the café.
Yes, we have ramps and elevators granting access to all of the exhibits in our museum. We also lend wheelchairs to customers who require them.
Our exhibits and programs provide your entire family with a fun learning experience! The museum also offers a preschool area designed especially for children under the age of 6.
By entering this public facility you are agreeing to let New York Hall of Science and all other news or media organizations use your photograph and/or likeness for any news or promotional purpose. No compensation will be given for the use of the photographs taken at NYSCI.

The membership term will be valid for one-year from the date of issue. Existing NYSCI members or NYSCI members whose membership has lapsed since January 1, 2012 are not eligible to sign up for a NYSCI membership with their IDNYC card. Please note: Persons under the age of 18 are not eligible for a NYSCI membership.
