Youth development
For more than 35 years, NYSCI has inspired and guided young people from diverse backgrounds to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and math.

The Alan J. Friedman Center For The Development Of Young Scientists
The Friedman Center engages young people across NYC, empowering them to develop their interest and agency in science. With an aim to change the face of the STEM workforce, our programs connect students with dynamic pathways to learning and rewarding careers.

Science Career Ladder
The Science Career Ladder is NYSCI’s signature education and youth employment program. The SCL offers an opportunity for high school and college students to work at NYSCI as Explainers, as well as participate in mentoring, college preparation and career development activities.
