COMMUNITY HOURS

NYSCI is easily accessible by public transportation. Take the 7 train to 111th Street, the Q23 or Q58 buses to Corona Avenue and 108th Street, or the Q48 bus to 111th Street and Roosevelt Avenue. For up-to-date travel information, visit http://mta.info.
Parking is available in NYSCI’s private lot, except during the U.S. Open. There is a $15 parking fee for cars; $20 for group vehicles during museum hours and $15 per car during Queens Night Market Hours. *Parking prices are subject to change during events and community festivals.* Parking is free to Family Explorer, Family Premium and Family Pass members.

Bikes and Scooters are not allowed in the building. Bike racks are available outside the building on a first-come basis, and riders must bring their own locks or security devices.

Our cafe partner, Butter Beans Kitchen, is offering a new menu with a wide range of food and beverage options, from coffee and espresso, to hot and cold menu options and weekly specials that will appeal to adults and kids, and a wide range of sweet, savory and healthy snacks. Skip the line and pick up your order when you want it, by clicking here or scanning the QR Codes conveniently placed around the building.
Outside food and beverages are not permitted in the cafe.

ACCESSIBILITY & PERSONAL ITEMS
Wheelchairs
All exhibition spaces, theatres, party rooms, the Cafe, Museum Store and all public restrooms are wheelchair accessible.
A limited number of wheelchairs are available for loan, free of charge, at the main entrance. Visitors need to leave an I.D. as a deposit when borrowing a wheelchair.

Strollers are permitted throughout the building. For your convenience, self-service lockers for personal items are provided on a first-come basis, starting at $5 / free for NYSCI Members.

PHOTO POLICY
By entering this public facility you are agreeing to let New York Hall of Science, news organizations, and/or media organizations take and use your photograph and/or likeness for any news or promotional purpose, including, but not limited to, use on our website and social media pages. No compensation will be provided for photographs taken and used for these purposes.
COVID-19
Visitors are no longer required to show proof of vaccination in order to enter the museum. The mask requirement has also been lifted, but we highly recommend their continued use.
FAQs
Yes, there is a parking lot available for customers for $15 per car during museum hours and during the Queens Night Market, and $20 for bus parking. Parking is not available during the U.S. Open. In 2024, there will be no parking beginning August 19th for the U.S. Open. There will be 20 spots for members on a first come, first serve basis from August 19th-24th. Prices are subject to change during special events.
Our exhibits and programs provide your entire family with a fun learning experience! The museum also offers a preschool area designed especially for children under the age of 6.
Yes, as long as you bring a photo ID, we can verify your membership in our database.
NYSCI has gone digital! If you haven’t received your digital membership card, please contact us at membership@nysci.org, or call the membership line at 718-699-1325.
There is only one download of the digital membership card available. However, a screenshot of the card can be taken and used as proof of membership status. Be advised that a photo ID will be requested to validate membership.
Memberships are non-transferable and can not be shared among multiple households. We reserve the right to alter the Membership Categories and Benefits without prior notice. At the time of an amendment, Members will be notified. Persons under the age of 18 are not eligible for a NYSCI membership.
Every Friday (2 – 5 pm) general admission is free for all customers. General admission does not include Rocket Park Mini Golf, 3D theater shows, and programs and workshops that require additional fees. Reservations are required for free hours; visitors can reserve online Friday mornings beginning at 9 am.
