Summer camps at the New York Hall of Science offer a unique experience to explore concepts in science, technology and engineering through fun hands-on activities that spark curiosity, creativity and collaboration. Each Innovation Camp includes exhibit exploration, student certificate of completion and a complimentary six-month NYSCI student membership. Summer Camps – July and August 2020

Body Systems

Ages 6 – 7

July 20 – 24, 2020; 9 am – 3 pm

Children will investigate the various body systems through engaging hands-on activities. They’ll explore why we get sick and how our bodies fight germs, make a model lung to observe how we breathe, learn about the digestive system, and investigate ways to keep our bones healthy and strong.

Fee: $400 per participant, $375 per member. Preregistration required. Register two or more students in NYSCI summer camps and receive $25 off each additional sibling.**

Mysterious Oceans

Ages 8 – 9

July 20 – 24, 2020; 9 am – 3 pm

Kids can explore the world of the oceans in this camp filled with adventure and discovery. They’ll identify various life forms that live in different ocean environments, investigate the effects of climate change on the ocean and the organisms that inhabit it, explore the biological and chemical composition of seawater, and learn about underwater volcanoes.

Fee: $400 per participant, $375 per member. Preregistration required. Register two or more students in NYSCI summer camps and receive $25 off each additional sibling.**

Robotics

Ages 8 – 10

August 3 – 7, 2020; 9 am – 3 pm

Students will learn engineering basics and how to design, construct and program using creativity, logic and problem-solving skills. Through a series of fun challenges, students will work in teams to command their robot to move, react and make sounds using motors and sensors. A large scale robotics challenge will allow students to showcase their new programming skills.

Fee: $400 per participant, $375 per member. Preregistration required. Register two or more students in NYSCI summer camps and receive $25 off each additional sibling.**

Make Academy: Toy Shop

Ages 10 – 13

July 27 – 31, 2020; 9 am – 3 pm
