The Circus Lab

The robotic arm, René, has decided to pursue its true dream of joining the circus, despite its (mechanical) limitations. During this Engineering Week event, witness this 17-year-old robot arm try out for a chance to join The Circus Lab‘s troupe! Watch René’s audition to see if it has what it takes to join a human circus.

Free with NYSCI admission.

René’s 15-minute audition will be performed daily at:

  • 2:30 pm
  • 3 pm
  • 3:30 pm

The Circus Lab is a project by Double Take Labs, commissioned to work with NYSCI Explainers during January and February 2020, as part of the Formation of Engineers (FoE). FoE aims to make engineering concepts more accessible to the NYSCI audience.
