Join Midnight Radio Show for performances of Fairytales in Space, a Sci-Fi shadow puppet show. You will be taken on adventures of the Dream Cats as they travel the galaxy – searching for love, getting into trouble, and occasionally saving the day.

1 pm: Part 1 The Origin of Puccini
Who is Puccini the Cat? On the planet of the Dream Cats he is a star, but when he betrays the wishes of the royal family his world may come crashing down.

2 pm: Part 2 The Princess Escapes
It is a terrible thing to lock a princess in a tower away from the world! How will this courageous young cat overcome the cruelty of others?

3 pm: Part 3 Puccini in Space
Puccini the Cat faces the threat of Space Pirates. How will he triumph against these marauding savages and stay true to his code of honor?

3:30 pm: Behind the Scenes of Fairy Tales in Space
Learn the tricks of the trade from the Midnight Radio Show puppeteers, as they tour you around their shadow puppet show set and equipment.

 

Midnight Radio Show is a shadow puppet and fairytale theatre company based out of Brooklyn, New York. The project is a collaboration between creative director Charlotte Lily Gaspard, musical director Ezra Lowrey, and a diverse group of artists, musicians, actors and puppeteers. Inspired by the creation of new fairytales and the love of shadow puppets, Midnight Radio Show experiments with visual art, music and the oral tradition of storytelling to create the theatrical experience of a bedtime story come to life. Exploring themes of courage, love, responsibility and adventure, Midnight Radio Show fairytales are populated with magical creatures, magical locations and magical encounters.
