Scattered Light Opening Reception

Loading Events

You’re invited to join us for a fun reception celebrating Dick Esterle’s Scattered Light in NYSCI’s Rotunda on Wednesday, October 22, 5 – 8 pm.

In honor of the popular mathematics and science writer, Martin Gardner, whose birthday is honored every October with Celebration of the Mind festivities, the evening will be filled with math, puzzles, magic and music.

Mark Mitton will explore perception with his magic. NYSCI Explainers will provide a mix of hands-on puzzle and math-related activities, and music will be provided by the Smith Smeltzer Duo (Wayne Smith on piano and Jason Smetlzer on Theremin).

Light snacks and refreshments will be served.
