Join us with NYSCI Neighbors to celebrate our local Queens culture and community, featuring a day filled with hands-on activities from Design Lab and Maker Space, music and dance, and other festivities.

Activities include:

  • Weather safety presentation featuring Janice Huff, NBC 4 New York’s chief meteorologist, Erica Grow, meteorologist for the weekend editions of News 4 New York, and Tairy Ynoa, traffic and weather anchor for Telemundo 47 (11:30 am).
  • Meet and greet with NBC 4 New York and Telemundo 47 talent (12:30 pm).
  • Performances by Kutterz Caribbean Band (10:30 am), Ayazamana Ecuadorian Dance Group (12:30 pm), The Applecores (1:30 pm), and Calpulli Mexican Dance Company (2:30 & 3:30 pm).
  • Hands-on STEM activities including creating prints with tortilla presses, making wood sugar skulls, and more.
  • The Queens Library Bus, a mobile library where residents can borrow books, sign up for a library card, play video games, and receive a free gift (while supplies last).
  • Information tables from more than 15 Queens organizations.

 

Get here before the event and receive FREE general admission between 10 – 11 am.
