Make It: One Block Challenge

Loading Events

Working off the bit of wisdom that “limitation is the mother of creativity” we are spending the month exploring what you can build with just a 3-inch block of wood and a few simple hand tools. On Saturdays test the limits of your creativity to see what you can make with a block of wood, a small saw, and hot glue. On Sundays, discover your inner Michelangelo as you carve and transform a small block of wood into anything you can imagine using a rasp and a file. For more information and some inspiration check out project page for the One Block Challenge.

Workshops are for ages 6 and older, and cost $3 per adult/child pair, plus NYSCI admission (Members: $1 per adult/child pair.) Register on the day of the event at the NYSCI admissions area.
