Flight School: A Window into Civil Air Patrol Training with USAF Auxiliary Cadets and Brooklyn Aerodrome

Loading Events

Peek inside the flight training for the Civil Air Patrol, as the United States Air Force Auxiliary participates in a workshop taught by Brooklyn Aerodrome. The Cadets from New York City, Westchester and Long Island Squadron will attend a two-day R/C Flight Academy. In the classroom, Cadets will build and learn to maintain a large-scale model aircraft, and practice flying on a life-size simulator. In the field, Cadets will learn how to fly their aircraft and safely operate a flight line.

NYSCI visitors are invited to watch the flight practice, which will be held in the field behind the museum. Visitors can also take a turn on the life-size flight simulator.

Free with NYSCI admission.
