“Dirt” Pudding Cups With Chocolate “Worms”

A Food Sustainability Demonstration and Tasting With Butter Beans

Loading Events

Join staff from our cafe, Butter Beans, for a demonstration and tasting of “Dirt” Pudding Cups with Chocolate “Worms.” Demonstrations and tastings will be held from 1:30 – 2 pm and 3:30 – 4 pm.

Served in a compostable seedling cup, you will enjoy a healthy, nature-sweetened pudding that will soon become a favorite sweet treat that is vegan-friendly. In addition to tasting the “Dirt” Pudding Cups with Chocolate “Worms,” audience members will receive recipe handouts and activity sheets highlighting the main lessons of the demonstration.

The foundation for a sustainable planet not only starts with you, but with the help of our dependable friends, worms! By choosing ingredients that come in “nature’s own wrappers” like avocados and bananas, and using “nature’s candy” like dates and honey, you are helping the environment.

Butter Beans cooking classes and demo programs highlight the benefits of healthy eating, celebrate the flavors of local produce, and create hands-on food experience for all participants and ages.

Recommended for ages 4 and older. Free with NYSCI admission.
