Join NYSCI Designer-in-Residence Brooke Singer for an afternoon (or two!) of digging into the concepts of Carbon Sponge. Participate in one or both of workshops to learn more about this project and the different benefits to urban gardening, which can be good for the environment and delicious!

June 28 (3:30 – 4:30 pm) Carbon Sponge: Build and Plant
Learn what Carbon Sponge is, how it works, what it could mean for climate change, and how you could create your own.

July 12 (3:30 – 4:30 pm) Carbon Sponge: Harvest and Eat
Learn what Carbon Sponge is, how it works, and some of the delicious benefits to planting one of your own.

Free with NYSCI admission. No pre-registration required. Space is limited; participants will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Recommended for ages 6 and older.
