Explore animation technology and see your favorite animated characters come to life at this summer exhibition. You can create your own stop-motion animated shorts, learn about the art of storyboarding, create your own animation drawings, and much more!

The exhibition highlights favorite animated characters, such as Gumby, who explains the process of creating clay puppets and shooting stop-motion animation. Animation Academy: From Pencils to Pixels also includes the world’s largest traveling 3D Zoetrope and authentic stop motion sets and puppets from the master of stop-motion, Ray Harryhausen. Also featured is a look at the career of Chuck Jones, known for his work on the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies cartoons.

Animation Academy: From Pencils to Pixels was developed by Stage Nine Exhibitions in conjunction with the Chuck Jones Center for Creativity.
