Vice President of Human Resources

Robin L. Robin is vice president of human resources for NYSCI. She is leading the change effort at NYSCI, focusing on establishing the human resources function, and working with directors to refocus and reorganize their departments through establishing management by objectives. Most recently, she served as the director of human resources for Girls Inc. During her time at Girls Inc. she conducted a comprehensive review of the benefits package saving 9.8 percent the first year, 6 percent the second year and 9 percent the third year. Before that, she was director of human resources and operations (COO) for Citizens Committee for NYC (CCNYC) for more than 16 years. While working for CCNYC, she held every position including acting president. In addition to overseeing human resources and facilities, she redesigned CCNYC’s computer network, wrote the five-year technology plan, human resources and fiscal manuals; and developed their 36,000-record database and integrated communications system. Her expertise in employment law, benefits management, payroll/compensation planning, strategic planning, employee relations and team building earned her nomination and election to the executive committee for the Human Resources Professional Association of Nonprofit Organizations (, where she now serves as vice president. She is certified as a senior professional in human resources (SPHR) from the Society for Human Resources Management and has served as a judge for the NY Community Trust/NY Magazine Non Profit Excellence Awards.
