Integrate hands-on STEM based activities into your classroom curriculum with this professional development program for middle school teachers. Explore various journaling strategies and learn how to use non-fiction texts to create a richer learning experience for students. Participants will explore ways to help students set up investigations and practice problem solving. By the end of the institute, participants will be skilled in various techniques that will help them successfully teach a well-rounded science curriculum.
The STEM institute meets over four days (October 5, 12 & 26, and November 2) for a total of 30 hours. Participants will receive a $250 stipend at the end of the institute.
