October 6, 2013 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

Explore the science of flight and the art of kite building as you design, make and play with your own kite. This drop-in workshop is recommended for children ages 18 months and older. Register on the day of the event at the NYSCI admissions area. If you have questions about Little Makers, call 718-699-0005 ext. 341 or email dmeza@nysci.org.

Materials Fee (per session): $8 per family, plus NYSCI admission; $5 per family for members

Sometimes creativity can get messy, so dress your little maker (and yourself) in old clothing that can be splattered with things like paint, ink and oobleck.

Little Makers is a series of programs where families with young children can tinker, design and create together. This program is supported in part by funding from the Altman Foundation and the Liu Foundation.

Little Makers will take place in Maker Space. Maker Space is made possible thanks to an investment by Cognizant through its Making the Future education initiative.
