Every day until July 20, 2014

Want to learn how to solder? Now is your chance! Learn about LEDs, resistors, sensors and microcontrollers, while you solder them to the custom PCB we designed in Maker Space. Luminescent Night Lights emit a beautiful color changing glow, but they are light sensitive, so they only turn on when the lights turn off. After we have soldered our circuit, we will create paper and hot glue sculptures to go over our lights.

Recommended for ages 9 and older. $10 per adult/child pair, plus NYSCI admission. (Members: $8 per adult/child pair.) Register on the day of the event at the NYSCI admissions area. If you have any questions about Maker Space programming, email Reid at rbingham@nysci.org.

Learn to Solder Luminescent Night Lights will take place on the following days:

Saturday July 19 : 1:30 – 3 pm & 3:30 – 5 pm
Sunday July 20 : 1:30 – 3 pm & 3:30 – 5 pm

Learn to Solder Luminescent Night Lights will take place in Maker Space. Maker Space is made possible thanks to an investment by Cognizant through its Making the Future education initiative.
