Pumpkin chucking, live bats, and bioluminescence projects are all part of the fun at NYSCI’s two-weekend celebration of Halloween and the Day of the Dead. Some activities require an additional fee; see details below.

October 25 & 26 Dead or Alive Activities

November 1 Dead or Alive Activities

Dead or Alive Bioluminescence
3 – 6 pm
Join us for light and Day of the Dead-inspired activities and learn how and when different organisms produce light. Free with NYSCI admission.

November 2 Dead or Alive Activities
Live Bat Encounters
1 & 3 pm
Meet live bats and learn about the benefits of bats, why we need to conserve them, and what you can do to help them at this special show with Rob Mies from the Organization for Bat Conservation. $6 adults, $5 children, students & seniors, plus NYSCI admission. (NYSCI members: $3 per person.) Limited capacity. Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis on the day of the show.
